The Digital Research Center of Sfax organizes, on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 09:30, its third internal seminar entitled "Optical remote sensing applied to vegetation: Direct Modeling & Inversion". It will be presented by Dr. Abdelaziz Kallel, Associate Professor and head of the team Remote Sensing for Smart Agriculture.
Dr. Abdelaziz Kallel obtained his habilitation from the University of Sfax in 2014 and his doctorate in physics from Paris-Sud University, France in 2007. He did his postdoctoral research at LSCE in France and at the Tartu Observatory. in Estonia respectively in 2008 and 2009. He was a visiting professor at the Paris-Sud and Paul Sabatier Universities, respectively in 2012 and 2015.
During this seminar, Dr. Abdelaziz Kallel will be interested in remote sensing, which includes all the processes and techniques that make it possible to remotely find the properties of terrestrial objects, by using the characteristics of the electromagnetic waves emitted or reflected by these objects.
